Great speech on how positive emotions leads to spiritual evolution governed by faith. Fascinating connections!

This kind of presentation makes everyone feel better; I wonder why there isn't more about the natural instinct to love, to have affection, to hold another person, animal, or the comfort of a blanket in science dialogues? These are the things that science cannot easily put into a controlled environment, so they are not considered worth our reason. Oddly, it does not even get placed in the four F's that Dr. Vaillant showed in a slide. Lust was one, but that is not love and affection - lust is urge for physical pleasure, which may have been designed for reproduction. Yet, I have witnessed loving behavior in all sorts of creatures, even in a pair of wasps that made love all day long, on the screen outside my office window. So unfortunate there are not more talks like this one.
